Journey of Resilience
Breaking Barriers
Crystal's story didn't begin with ideal circumstances. Raised by a single mother facing mental health challenges, she experienced instability from an early age. At just 15 years old, she became pregnant during her sophomore year of high school. Rather than allowing her circumstances to define her future, she made a decision that would shape the rest of her life: to persevere.
While many saw obstacles, Crystal saw possibility. She graduated high school with honors before earning both a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering, proving that where you begin does not determine where you can go.
Building a Legacy
Armed with determination and an unwavering belief in her future, Crystal built an extraordinary career in aerospace technology, spending more than two decades leading in an industry where African American women remain significantly underrepresented. She rose from engineer to executive leadership, serving as Chief of Staff for a $6 billion aerospace organization and Director of the F-15 Fighter Jet Radar Development Program, often referred to as the "Eye of the Eagle."
Her career was defined by innovation, leadership, and excellence, earning recognition throughout her profession, including:
-
Raytheon's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. "Keeper of the Dream" Award
-
Women to Watch nomination
-
Black Engineer of the Year (BEYA) Modern-Day Technology Leadership Award
Throughout this journey, Crystal also discovered a passion for helping others recognize what was possible for their own lives. She began speaking across the country, sharing the principles that transformed her own journey and inspiring students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and organizations to pursue success with confidence, discipline, and purpose.
Beyond the Boardroom
After an accomplished corporate career, Crystal embraced entrepreneurship, successfully launching and operating a logistics company as an Amazon Delivery Service Partner. She became one of a select group of entrepreneurs entrusted to deliver on behalf of Amazon throughout the Dallas Fort Worth market.
As her entrepreneurial journey evolved, so did her mission. Crystal expanded her work beyond business ownership, combining her experience as a licensed Texas REALTOR® with mortgage lending to help individuals and families build lasting wealth through homeownership, real estate investing, and sound financial decisions.
More importantly, she realized her greatest purpose was never confined to a boardroom or a business title. It was helping people believe in what was possible, develop a plan, and build a life they are proud to lead.
Creating The READY Life
Every chapter of Crystal's journey prepared her for something greater. From engineering and executive leadership to entrepreneurship, real estate, and lending, each experience became part of a larger mission: helping others build lives they are proud to lead.
Today, through The READY Life, Crystal brings together mindset, strategy, and wealth-building to help people move from vision to execution. Whether she's coaching leaders, speaking on stage, guiding homebuyers, or equipping entrepreneurs with practical tools, her purpose remains the same: to provide clarity, confidence, and a roadmap for lasting success.
